We did it! We reached our goal! NURC wants to give a huge thank you to all of our generous donors for helping us beat our goal and raising $2555! This was our first time crowdfunding, and it was a massive success; we can't thank you all enough.
With your contributions, we can now buy the best parts for our robots, giving us a competitive edge in our upcoming robotics competitions. Combat robotics plans to compete in a March 26 competition in Norwalk, CT. It will be live-streamed on YouTube, so check it out! Our other competition teams also have upcoming events, so stay tuned for more info on how you can check them out and show your support. We'll post more updates here as the year progresses.
We greatly appreciate all the support – we couldn’t have done it without you! If you want to see additional updates as we continue to build and compete, make sure to follow @nurobotics on Instagram. Thank you so much again.
There's only seven hours left in the 2022 NURC CATalyzer Campaign!
Help us get a last few donations in, so that we can make sure to get all the parts we need for our upcoming competitions! Can we get to $1,400?
Thank you so much to all of our current donors; we can't thank you all enough!
Here's a recent team photo that we took with many of our current members!
Wow! We’re over halfway to our goal! 52%! $1300/ $2500!
We can now buy electronics and motors for our combat robots to make them faster and more powerful than ever before. We're also now able to fund a future new frame for our UROV project, allowing it to move more efficiently and consistently. Check out this photo from our water testing! We were able to use the pool at Northwestern's Norris Aquatics Center to test the performance of our underwater robot.
Thank you so much to our donors so far – we’re incredibly grateful for your generosity, and can't overstate how much we appreciate you.
Welcome to the NURC CATalyzer campaign! This is our first time crowdfunding, so we need your help to reach our $2500 goal! We want to construct some awesome new robots, and we know that you want to see what we’re planning, so help us out! If you know someone that’s interested in supporting the development of roboticists and engineers, or wants to see Northwestern robots succeed, please reach out to them so they can help our cause. We appreciate all the support, let's go fund some robots!
Custom PCBs- Our custom printed circuit boards allow us to create more efficient electronic systems and allow our EE minded students the chance to design their own boards, something that is not frequently taught at Northwestern.
ESCs allow us to control our motors with precision. But, they frequently break. Help us purchase extras!
A very strong piece of versatile metal that we use for building armor for combat robots, frames for other systems
A hardened, heavy duty piece of metal that we use to construct the most durable blades and frames for our team
The combat robotics subteam is working to construct a couple 3lb robots that can fight against each other or other teams at the Norwalk Havoc robotics tournament later this year. Each robot costs ~$250 though, so help us make this dream a reality
Fully cover one of our robots! While they vary in price, our 30lb combat robots, lacrosse robots, foosball machines, and UROV (submarines) are all under construction, and need your help to keep moving and improve.
