Our Crowdfunding Groups
We are the only Northwestern University student group who produces fully staged operas and operettas. In the past, we have produced such shows as Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, Iolanthe by Gilbert and Sullivan, The Magic Flute by Mozart, and works written by Northwestern students. This fall we will produce Les Aventures du Roi Pausole by Arthur Honegger, a French operetta that premiered in 1930. It follows the journey of a king and his daughter as she runs away from her castle to learn about what it means to be in love. Since our organization is almost entirely student run, we provide northwestern students a fantastic hands-on education in operetta, performing, and stagecraft.
With this amount we are able to purchases small props for our actors.
With this amount we are able to have specific make-up for our performers, making it easier to become their character.
With this amount we are able to purchase the necessary costume pieces for our students.
With this amount we are able to have an amazing orchestra help make the music come to life.
With this amount we are able to properly pay our lovely accompanists who have been working so hard to help us put on the show.
With this amount we can pay for our score, more costumes and props, as well as extra parts of our show.
