Our Mission
THUNK a cappella is Northwestern's oldest a cappella group! THUNK is co-ed, comprised of 23 members, and entirely student directed and produced. We work to put on multiple shows a year in the hopes of spreading our love of music around campus and around the Chicago area. THUNK is regularly asked to sing at fundraising and university-related gigs at Northwestern and at major events in the Chicago area. THUNK has performed at schools, hospitals, churches, charity events, private parties and galas throughout the area. We also travel every other year to Cape Town, South Africa to do workshops with students and others to spread our love of music.
Our 25th Year
In June of 2018, we are celebrating 25 years of THUNK music at Northwestern! We are putting on a concert and will invite alumni with the hope of bringing together multiple generations of THUNK in our most amazing concert to date.
Why We Need Your Help
We have set high goals for our campaign in order to fund our 25th reunion show with THUNK alumni. We need your support to accomplish this. Your tax-deductible donation directly impacts our group by allowing us to put on the best show possible. This gives all members of THUNK the ability to showcase our hard work and bring together members near and far, young and old!

For $10, you can cover the cost of one new THUNK t-shirt for a member of the group or for an alumni who comes to the concert!
Help us pay for marketing materials like posters to help advertise our concert around campus! It would be really sad if nobody knew about this amazing event.
We would absolutely love to have a photography booth at our concert so alumni can remember their time back on campus with fun pictures! With $25 dollars, you can help us with part of this cost.
We have pretty faces, but our voices are prettier! Please help us fund the rental of important sound equipment like microphones and speakers so everyone can hear us sing!
THUNK hires a videographer to record all of our concerts so we can enjoy them for years to come. For $100, you can pay for a portion of our videographer costs and then vicariously watch our concert on YouTube if you don’t come in person!
A donation of $200 would cover the cost of space rental for our concert so we don’t have to sing outside. We would love to have a cozy place where all of our alumni can come enjoy themselves with beautiful music!
