We not only surpassed our goal for this campaign, but the endowment broke the $100,000 milestone! Thank you for helping expand our impact on the lives of student leaders and their futures. This achievement makes it possible to help more students with more significant awards.
NUGALA will announce the 2017-18 scholarship recipient at the Lavender Graduation ceremony at 4:30 on May 25 in Scott Hall. We hope you can join us to congratulate our latest NUGALA scholar and welcome the new members of our LGBTQ+ alumni community.
Thanks to you, we achieved our goal of raising $3,000 for LGBTQ+ scholarships!
To expand our impact even more, we hope to raise another $500 over the remaining 4 days of this campaign.
Thanks for all you do for the LGBTQ+ community at Northwestern.
NUGALA is 92% of the way to our goal of $3,000 to provide scholarships to additional students.
Every year NUGALA awards scholarships to students who contribute to the Northwestern LGBTQ+ community through leadership, service, volunteering, or research. These scholarships provide vital financial resources to students and help affirm the good work they do on Northwestern's campus. As our 2015-16 recipient put it:
"Being a recipient of the NUGALA Scholarship was a moment of validation and appreciation for me. It was reminder that the work I dedicated myself to make space for LGBTQ+ students and community members at NU was seen and had made an impact to and for my community."
To expand our impact and offer more scholarships to more students, we need to raise $215 more over the next six days. Please share this message with your friends and fellow alumni.
Thank you for supporting exceptional student leaders.
Thanks to our early donors, we're 25% toward our $3,000 goal for the NUGALA Scholarship campaign. Supporting future LGBTQ leaders is more important than ever. As one recipient put it, "NUGALA awarded me the scholarship when I was struggling and looking for reasons to continue at NU...the financial and moral support of NUGALA helped to push me through my senior year." Gifts of any size are appreciated, and will help us support more deserving students. Thanks for your help!
