Class of 1978 Scholarship Fund

Five years ago, we created the Class of 1978 Scholarship Fund in honor of our 40th Reunion. Our goal was to endow this scholarship to provide a generous award to a talented and deserving student, each year, in perpetuity.

Fast-forward to this year: we have raised $114,357.56 towards this fund and are currently supporting our first-Class of 1978 student scholar, Jordan Dillard ‘23 in the 2023-2024 academic year. What an accomplishment! This would not have been possible without your support. There is room to create greater impact and support more students. Let’s keep growing our fund and building our class legacy! We’d love for all classmates to join us in contributing to our class scholarship fund by October 31..

Your gift—in the amount that’s meaningful to you—will help future Wildcats have the academic, social, and leadership opportunities we did. Make your gift now to boost support for this fund!

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to our class scholarship.

This initiative is being spearheaded by your class of 1978 reunion committee members: Lisa K. Hightower, Ken Porello, Sherry L. McFall, Lauren Taft Balk, Karen Zak Kent, Paul A. Larson, Mary S. Madison, Jane A. Metzler, Halsey G. Roberts, Mary Kelly Selover, Carrie Byrns Vill, Sheila Reed

*All gifts and pledges made between September 1, 2022 and October 31, 2023 to any area of the University will automatically count in class gift totals.
