The Cambodian Cultural Awareness Club is recruiting the NU community to together showcase a traditional Cambodian dance for the McCormick Student Advisory Board’s Multicultural Night. Performing a traditional dance will help introduce the Northwestern community to the culture and traditions of Cambodia, thus allowing the community to gain a deeper appreciation for the country. This fundraising event will help provide the Cambodian Cultural Awareness Club with lovely music and costumes from the National Cambodian Heritage Museum in downtown Chicago, all in the hopes of making Multicultural Night more meaningful.
We can put this gift towards publicizing our event, recruiting more members to participate as dancers and inviting more people to come watch our show!
We can put this gift toward booking rooms with mirrors, making dance practices much more efficient.
This will allow us to rent out smaller accessories that would go along with our costumes (e.g. artificial flowers, crossbody chains, gold bracelets, and necklaces) for an even more complete traditional look.
This would assist us in providing costumes for all of our dancers! Thank you!
