Help us transform three days of good will into three months of public service work.
Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is committed to building our reputation as an institution that serves the public interest. There is no shortage of students who are interested in pursuing public interest work, yet they face a very real shortage of paying jobs in public interest fields. On pace with our peer law schools, we have responded and continue to focus our attention on this mismatch.
Now we turn to you, our alumni and friends, to help us continue our charge. As part of Northwestern Law’s responsibility to do justice on a local, national, and international level, the Law School will fund up to six JD students in this inaugural year of the Global Public Interest Fellowship Program, starting in Summer 2017. Together, 250 donors each contributing $38 will fund one student in a Global Public Interest Fellowship to do public interest legal work abroad. The value of your $38 is boundless: your participation today will grant one student this noteworthy experience, thereby enriching the lives of the many clients they serve in the name of the public good.
This is the first of many concise, collective funding opportunities designed to show tangible and immediate impact in key areas at the Law School. Contributors to this or to future crowdfunding projects are essential participants in Motion to Lead: The Campaign for Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and will push the Campaign closer to achieving its goal: support from 10,000 alumni and friends.
