*Update 12/1/2020:* Our challenge donors are so impressed with our progress, they want to keep going! Our new goal is to reach $10,000 in gifts, and they will continue to be matched dollar for dollar.
We recently created an endowed Class of 1990 Scholarship Fund in honor of our 30th Reunion. When fully funded, this scholarship will provide a generous award to a talented and deserving student, each and every year, in perpetuity.
To kick-start support for this fund, we encourage all classmates to participate in a special challenge through 11:59 p.m. PST on Giving Tuesday, December 1. Two generous classmates are sponsoring this challenge, agreeing to match all gifts to the Class of 1990 Scholarship Fund, up to $5,000. Here’s why they’re stepping up their support:
“We give back to Northwestern because we feel so fortunate and privileged to have attended Northwestern and believe strongly that, with that privilege, comes responsibility to help ensure a strong institution that remains accessible to current and future generations of students from broad and diverse backgrounds and family situations. This is also why we support scholarships each year. We consider it part of purple pride and purple responsibility. Go U, NU!”
