Who are we?
The South Asian Students Alliance (SASA) is the largest cultural student organization on campus that is dedicated to the spreading and celebration of South Asian culture. Throughout the year, we proudly put on events that display our South Asian culture, the largest of which is the annual SASA Show held in February.
Our project: The purpose of SASA Show is to share various aspects of South Asian culture through the format of dance and music with the Northwestern student body. We believe SASA Show will further Northwestern's mission by showcasing diverse forms of dance and music from different parts of South Asia, sharing an important part of this culture with the wider student body beyond the South Asian community. The show features performances from student groups, including traditional South Asian dance groups, South Asian-American fusion dance groups, and even a fusion a cappella group. The show is open to the public, and each year we have seen more than 500 people in attendance. Why we need your help: To put on this show, we need your help! We’re looking for your support to help cover the cost of putting on a show of this scale, from booking the performance venue to hiring a photographer to capture these performances. We want to be able to provide the participants of SASA Show with everything they need so that they can best exhibit their talents and share their cultures. That’s where you come in!
Our goal: With your support, we hope to raise $2,800 for SASA Show. This will cover costs including the venue, photographer, videographer, lighting, sound design, supplies for performers, and security for the event. Gifts of any amount will help us increase the quality of the overall performance and the experience of both the audience and the performing groups. We sincerely appreciate anything that you can contribute towards this effort.

Come to our show this coming February in Cahn Auditorium!
Contingency plan:
We understand that the traditional in-person format of the SASA show may not be possible during next year due to the continuing Coronavirus pandemic. As such, we are currently exploring alternative options for viewing such as limiting the amount of tickets sold, hence limiting the number of audience members, in accordance with our current venue’s capacity, moving to a larger venue to adhere to social distancing guidelines or hosting a remote live stream. If there is no other alternative and an in-person show is not possible, we will postpone the SASA show to another date and save received contributions until then. We will be updating the page with more details as the year progresses.
We can put this gift towards publicizing our event and inviting as many people as we can to watch our celebration of South Asian culture!

We can put this gift towards a videographer who will allow the performances of SASA show 2021 to live on for years to come!
