We are thrilled to announce an exciting week-long challenge that will help the Bluhm Legal Clinic at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law continue to thrive. In an effort to help the Clinic increase the number of annual donors, an anonymous alumnus will make an extraordinary gift of $10,000 if 30 donors step up and make a gift to the Bluhm Legal Clinic in the next week.
Housing more than 20 clinics within 14 centers, the Bluhm Legal Clinic is widely recognized as one of the most comprehensive and effective clinical programs in the country. Through Northwestern Pritzker School of Law's clinical program, students gain direct experience representing clients and fine-tune their skills as advocates. Your donation will not only help current students, but also members of our community who would not otherwise have access to quality legal representation.
In March 2016, several 3L student participants got together to showcase some of their experiences in the Clinic through an event called, Stories from the Clinic. Cost of a student visit to a client at Cook County Jail or in the Juvenile Detention Center.
Cost of accommodations for students traveling to Malawi on a CIHR trip to reform the justice system and reduce overcrowding of prisons.
One hour of services from various consultants, including private investigators and DNA experts, to investigate the various Bluhm Legal Clinic cases.
Cost of round trip travel to the Pontiac Correctional Center, which allows faculty and staff to meet with incarcerated clients.
Cost of a month of background checks necessary for centers to perform during case investigation.
Average cost of one student’s travel to various trial competitions throughout the United States through the Bartlit Center for Trial Advocacy.
