Who We Are
Nous Fe Medical Organization’s goal is to utilize our platform to empower the communities we work with to effectuate positive and sustainable change. We are a group of students at Northwestern that share a passion in addressing the discrepancies in healthcare that are present globally. We do this both by engaging with the community of Northwestern, as well as by leading student medical service trips to Jacmel, Haiti, in the spring and summer.
We Need You!
We are raising money to fund our research, and provide exciting, educational events through our Global Health Awareness series for students at Northwestern to engage directly with issues surrounding global health through the lens of our partnership with Haiti. We noticed a lack in opportunities for students at Northwestern to learn and think about this topic; we would like to address this issue in the upcoming quarter. In this space, we will discuss current issues, host events, and provide students with opportunities and resources to get involved. We plan on hosting prominent and engaging speakers who have had professional experience in the global health field, as well as hands-on educational workshops to give students an insight into global medicine such as triaging, medical charting, cultural immersion, and patient communication. This will allow students to not only gain knowledge in global health but also understand how they can get involved.
