False confessions of youth like Brendan Dassey, are not anomalies and there are hundreds of kids just like Brendan who need our help. The Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth (CWCY) is the leading false confession specialist in the country.
Our Center is the only criminal justice advocacy organization in the world that focuses on wrongfully convicted children and teenagers, with a special emphasis on those who have falsely confessed. Over our ten-year history, we’re honored to have helped free more than twenty individuals.
