Stretch Goal!!
Our support system is INCREDIBLE! Because of all of you, we have exceeded not only our original goal of $15,000, but we also have passed our stretch goal of $20,000. Our campaign still has a few days left, so with the time remaining, we are stretching our goal yet again to $23,000. Any additional money raised will us purchase additional equipment needed for a fully functioning boat.

Wow! We are thrilled to have met our original goal of $15,000! But we always row through the finish line, so we are stretching our goal to $20,000. This additional funding will help purchase additional equipment needed for a fully functioning boat -- oars, cox boxes, shoes, etc. The support we have been receiving is incredible, and our club would not be where it is today without the strong support system of alumni, family, friends, and rowing lovers.
Who we are:
Northwestern Crew was founded in 1981 with an original crew of 9 students. Today, our club has grown to over 60 members, the largest cohort in our club’s history. We are a team of highly dedicated students practicing over 20 hours each week and waking up before the sun rises to train with people we truly consider family. Our club competes against varsity programs in some of the nation’s largest regattas. Within the last year, both the men’s and women’s boats medaled multiple times.
Why we need your help:
Our team is growing and it’s growing fast. While we’re thrilled to see this growth, we need the infrastructure to support it. To accommodate this growth we’re fundraising to purchase a new eight-person shell to expand our current fleet! With more active member than ever before, we need this boat to make sure we can get as many rowers and coxswains on the water as possible come spring season. Not to mention we want to be as competitive as possible. Older shells are worn down and heavy. With a team full of enthusiastic, talented rowers we want to set ourselves up as best as possible for success when it comes to our equipment. A new boat will help us stay competitive and make our winter training all the more worth it when we get back on the water in spring!
