Fly By Night (Jewish Theatre Ensemble)
Fly By Night is a hilarious and bittersweet rock musical that centers on a melancholy sandwich maker’s humdrum life and two entrancing sisters who change it forever. With a sweeping score and a heartwarming script, Fly By Night is destined to be a musical that is enchanting for all ages. First workshopped at Northwestern University at The American Music Theatre Project in 2011, Fly By Night is making its return to McCormick Auditorium this winter (February 8th-10th) produced by The Jewish Theatre Ensemble. The Jewish Theatre Ensemble was founded in 1995 and functions as a student theater board that provides the Northwestern community with high-quality entertainment and exposure to Jewish involvement in the arts. The organization aspires to challenge common perceptions and generate conversation relating to issues that resonate with Jewish experience through artistic media with particular relevance to the Northwestern community.
The Jewish Theatre Ensemble is raising money to make this incredible musical a fully realized production and we need your support to achieve this! The show uses multiple settings, which will make set design very important to this production. Being set during a blackout, we are hoping to fill the stage and audience with stars. The score also demands a rock band of five musicians who will jam out on stage with the cast. Your tax-deductible donation will empower our artists and designers to shoot for the moon and create a magical experience.
This is where you come in! Your financial support will help make our dreams come true. Please give whatever you can. Every donation will bring us closer to reaching our goal. Also, please share our page on social media and spread the word about Fly By Night! It takes a village to put on a show, and we would be so appreciative of any help you can provide.
