We met our initial goal of $3,000 (one SIGP grant) as well as our stretch goal of $4,500! We are now seeking to secure additional gifts so that we can maximize the amount of SIGP support that we can provide to NU students interning in the DC area.

The NU Club of DC encourages current Northwestern students to accept unpaid summer internships at government, NGO, non-profit and media organizations in Washington, D.C. but realizes the costs associated with taking positions that do not provide compensation.
In order to defray some of the living costs during student(s) time in Washington, the NU Club of DC SIGP award supplements student(s) costs so that they can focus their time in Washington on professional and educational development. In order to qualify, students must be from outside the Washington, D.C. metro area (DC/MD/VA) and should be pursuing an unpaid position.
By supporting the NU Club of DC's Catalyzer campaign, you’ll help finance grants so that students can have an enriching experience this summer. Please support this initiative with a gift in the amount that’s meaningful to you, and/or by sharing this with individuals in your network who support equitable access for young people.
