Blackboard Magazine, is raising funds for its Spring issue, and our aim is to continue to give the Black narrative on Northwestern’s campus a stronger voice, and with your help we can make this happen.
Blackboard Magazine today is a revival of the old Blackboard Magazine that had been running on Northwestern’s campus for decades. Other than the archives of the old magazine found at the Black House, our organization in every aspect is new to the campus.
Our writers come from numerous majors on campus and have with them countless cultures, experiences, and lifestyles that define their Blackness. The goal is to underscore the Black narrative on campus as a publication, celebrating Black culture and news in a place where people view us as secondary.
We need funding for our Spring issue so that our magazine publication can continue our goal of promoting Black beauty and pride.
We have an online crowdfunding campaign that is trying to raise $1,000 by this date. We would love your help in reaching this goal. Any size contribution will go a long way in helping us publish our stories.
BlackBoard is dedicated to serving Northwestern with the best magazine content we can. And a donation of this size would put copies of out magazine into the hands of five readers!

The total amount it costs for BlackBoard to host its famous mac and cheese fundraisers. That’s what $50 does for the publication, not to mention ensuring we can go to print with the best quality possible.
Moving on up! Not only would this gift fund over 30 copies of the publication but it also ensures that we can keep the magazine FREE for the Northwestern community!
This could fund an entire photoshoot for the magazine and pay for nearly a fifth of all printed copies of the publication.
