OVERVIEW
Who are we?
The Minority Business Association is a student group at Northwestern under the Institute for Student Business Education (ISBE), the premier business and the largest student group on campus. MBA’s mission is to be the leading resource for all NU undergraduates to discover the possibility of a career in business. MBA’s focus is to create minority business leaders who are pioneers in their respective industries with a commitment to giving back to their communities through education. MBA is a diverse and inclusive group with over 20 active members. We have a number of corporate partners who come and speak with our members to give them guidance on their career goals and development. Some of our partners include Goldman Sachs, Google, BMO Harris, and SEO Edge.
What is our project?
In the winter of 2017, we will host our annual Winter Conference. The conference’s objective is to give Northwestern University faculty, staff, and students the chance to hear from minority professionals, as well as network with recruiters and NU affiliates.
Additionally, it is always a great opportunity for our members to get to see minorities in their respective industries breaking barriers and paving the way for our young members. This conference will be a great community-building event with multiple networking opportunities.
What is our goal?
We seek to raise $500 to help provide honorariums for the speakers and cover travel costs. We also need to pay for publicity, event costs, and miscellaneous other costs. You can help us reach our goal with a gift of any amount, and also by sharing our page with your networks. Thank you so much for checking out our page and for supporting young minorities who wish to pursue careers in business!
