*Update:* We’ve extended this challenge through Sunday at 11:59 p.m. PT. Please spread the word within your Wildcat circles and share this page!
We recently created an endowed Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund in honor of our 50th Reunion. When fully funded, this scholarship will provide a generous award to a talented and deserving student, each and every year, in perpetuity.
To kick-start support for this fund, we encourage all classmates to participate in a special challenge through 11:59 p.m. PST on Giving Tuesday, December 1. A generous classmate is sponsoring this challenge, agreeing to match all gifts to the Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund, up to $5,000. Here’s why they’re stepping up their support:
“From early on in my life both my parents stressed the importance of education. I was fortunate to attend Northwestern and to graduate debt-free in 1970. My appreciation of that gift has increased with time, and I realize now more than ever how important access to outstanding faculty, engaged students, and lifelong friendships has been in my life. I can no longer thank my parents for that gift, but I can invest in someone else’s future with a gift to the Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund.”
Your gift—in the amount that’s meaningful to you—will help future Wildcats have the academic, social, and leadership opportunities we did. Make your gift now to double your impact and boost support for this fund!
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to our class scholarship!
