We recently created an endowed Class of 1995 Scholarship Fund in honor of our 25th Reunion. When fully funded, this scholarship will provide a generous award to a talented and deserving student, each and every year, in perpetuity.
To kick-start support for this fund, we encourage all classmates to participate in a special challenge through 11:59 p.m. PST on Giving Tuesday, December 1. A generous classmate is sponsoring this challenge, agreeing to match all gifts to the Class of 1995 Scholarship Fund. Here’s why they’re stepping up their support:
“Supporting scholarships has always been important to me, which is why I’ve given to this area of Northwestern the most over the years. If America truly is the ‘Land of Opportunity,’ then a deserving student should be able to accept the potentially life-changing opportunity of attending a school such as Northwestern no matter their financial situation. I know this firsthand, so it’s an honor and, arguably, a responsibility to pay this opportunity forward. Doing so under the symbolic banner of my class year, given how important graduating from Northwestern has been to my life, is especially satisfying.”
