Every year Ahana puts on a Spring Show to celebrate the diversity in dance styles among our team. Our team is composed of members with different backgrounds in dance as well as varying skill levels. Ahana is meant to be a space for people to develop their own style of dance and learn styles that they may not have been exposed to in the past. Our spring show is an amalgamation of this diversity to show what dance means to us. The spring show is open to all members of Northwestern to learn about various South Asian dance styles as well as understand dance in the context of South Asian culture.
This would give dancers smaller accessories to use for small gimmicks throughout the show.
This would be used for stage accessories such as larger props or small lights.
This would be enough money for a dancer costume for multiple different pieces.
This would help fund the venue costs for the day of the show or tech practices in the week leading up to the show.
This would fund larger production items such as lighting, sound or stage effects.
