About Us
NU Channel 1 (NUCH1) is an entirely student-run production group at Northwestern University devoted to producing and distributing original, student-created media on the Internet. Our goal is to help students interested in TV and film production fulfill their creative aspirations by providing funding, equipment, and other forms of support throughout the production process. Additionally, NU Channel 1 serves as a central hub for hosting and distributing this work, giving students the opportunity to reach a wider audience.
Why Contribute?
NUCH1 gives Northwestern students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the television industry. It offers leadership experience in areas of script development, web series production, show running, managing production funds, and more. The small scale of our organization allows for a more open grant process, in which any student willing to put in the work can petition.
We’re asking for your help so that we can continue offering these opportunities to more students and keep putting out the best content that we can.
