Our Crowdfunding Groups
Deeva is a nationally-recognized, all-female competitive dance team that blends the best of Indian classical, Bollywood, folk, ballet, lyrical, and hip-hop. Founded in 2001, our team has a unique mission to generate and participate in an intercultural dialogue through dance. By choreographing dances that mix cultures, Deeva is able to not only bring increased cultural awareness to the student body, but to have a cultural exchange through dance. Our efforts target individuals both inside and outside of South Asian American communities.
Our Spring Showcase each year is the best way Deeva can work to bring that increased cultural awareness to the student body. It is also our chance to show our friends and family what we are all about; beyond the hours of dedicated practice and weekends spent away at competitions, we are a close-knit group of women supporting each other in our individual quests to grow as dancers and learn about each other’s cultures. Without funding for our Showcase, we cannot do any of this. Venue rental, practice spaces, costumes, props, lighting, DJs, and publicity opportunities all cost much more than we can afford on our own, so we need your help!

After months of work preparing, help us capture all the priceless on-stage moments to hold onto forever!
Gifts at this level will allow us to rent a venue for both the show and rehearsals leading up to it! They can also help us rent dance-suitable flooring to cover the venue stage to avoid injuries and splinters!
