Who We Are:
Northwestern Men’s Ultimate is made up of two teams, NUT and BOLT. NUT is our "A" team, and we travel to about 4 tournaments a quarter around the country. BOLT is our developmental "B" team, which travels a little less and tends to play in more local tournaments. Together, we are a tight-knit community that works hard and collaborates. Ask anyone on NUT or BOLT if frisbee is a defining, positive piece of their Northwestern experience and they will emphatically say yes. Our coaches are all former Northwestern players who loved their time playing frisbee in college so much, they decided to come back and give back to the community.
Most of us played sports in high school, and for various reasons did not continue to play on varsity teams in college. We are all extremely grateful for the chance to be on a team and grow together as teammates and family. Every day, we learn from each other, whether about the game of frisbee or about how to be a better person.
Project Overview:
We are raising money on behalf of the Northwestern Athletic Department in order to compete at the highest level possible and continue to be a team that competes at the highest level. Last year we made Nationals for the first time in program history, and this year we are looking to continue that trajectory. In order to do that we need to continue to work hard and practice efficiently. However, with the growth of our program and the lack of abundant field space on campus we have begun to turn to off-campus alternatives.
Our Goal:
Our project goal is to raise $4,000. The field space costs $276 per hour. Every extra hour of practice we have is an hour that improves our team and helps us remain competitive. With your gracious support we will be able to continue to practice and compete at the highest level while making sure that ultimate at Northwestern stays financially accessible. Thank you!
