The NU Club of DC encourages current Northwestern students to accept unpaid summer internships at government, NGO, non-profit and media organizations in the Washington, D.C. area but realizes the financial challenges associated with taking positions that do not provide compensation.
In order to defray a portion of the living costs during the time students are in the DC-area, the NU Club of DC Summer Internship Grant Fund (coordinated through the University’s SIGP program) supplements student resources so that they can focus their time on professional and educational development. In order to qualify, students must be from outside the Washington, D.C. metro area (DC/MD/VA) and should be pursuing an unpaid position.
By supporting the NU Club of DC's Catalyzer campaign, you’ll help finance grants so that students can have an enriching experience during the summer of 2019. Please support this initiative with a gift in the amount that’s meaningful to you, and/or by sharing this with individuals in your network who support equitable access to meaningful work experience.
