We want to personally thank all you all for your donations and support.

Thank you again!

TWO DAYS TO GO!

November 10, 2018

With only two days left in our Catalyzer Campaign, we need your help to push us over the edge!

We are within $250 of reaching our $5,000 goal, and we could not have gotten this far without your help.

Please share our project on social media using the links above or with family, friends, and colleagues using this link: https://catalyzer.northwestern.edu/project/11615.

3 DAYS LEFT!

November 09, 2018

Hello wonderful donors! Thank you so much for contributing to our Catalyzer Campaign and following our journey this far!

We are so close to our goal, and with only 3 days left we are coming down to the wire to reach it.

If everyone who has donated so far gave $8, we would reach our goal! So consider donating just a bit more because really any amount helps!

Today (Friday 11/9) is Fefu Friday. Some of our actors will be traveling around campus in costume, staging mini-performances and handing out invitations to the show.

You can see a sneak peak of what our invitations will look like below!

5 DAYS LEFT!

November 07, 2018

We have less than a week until our campaign ends!

We are so humbled by the support we have already received. We are so close to our goal that if we raise just over $100 a day we will reach it, so let’s keep going!

Please tell all your friends about our campaign, and encourage them to donate or share our campaign on social media to make our show a reality!

Below is a video featuring Jonathan Gelb '19 and Morgan Rielly '19 with exciting updates on how our project is going.

WE ARE 80% OF THE WAY TO OUR GOAL!

November 04, 2018

Thank you to every single person who has given. Because of your generous contributions, we will be able to purchase our set materials, lights, and sound equipment for the show! Your gift provides rare opportunities for students to hone their theatrical craft and work collaboratively to create a stunning production unique to them.

With only a couple weeks until our show, our cast is putting the final touches on their performances before we begin to rehearse in Cahn Auditorium and cannot wait to show you their hard work. Our set is almost entirely built, and we have almost all of our costumes sourced and styled. This upcoming weekend we will film our final promo video, with actors in full costume.

We are so close to our fundraising goal for the show, but we need your help to push us over the edge! Your enthusiasm is what keeps us going, so please share your excitement and our Catalyzer page with friends, family, or anyone else you think may be interested in this this.

As a final note, we want to personally invite you to join us for Fefu and Her Friends on November 30 and December 1 in Cahn Auditorium! You can find tickets to Fefu at nbo.northwestern.edu on or after November 15th.

10 DAYS LEFT!

November 02, 2018

We only have 10 days left in our Catalyzer campaign. Please share our project and help spread the word. We are so close to our goal of bringing Fefu’s story to life!

You can donate and follow our journey here.

Passing of Maria Irene Fornés

October 31, 2018

Dear Distinguished Supporters,

It is with great sadness that we report to you the passing of Maria Irene Fornés, the playwright of our show. She died peacefully yesterday in an assisted living facility in Manhattan at age 88. She had had Alzheimer's disease for some time.

Throughout her life, her avant-garde and probingly psychological works made thousands of audiences question how they constructed their lives and influenced the lives of others. Her voice reached far beyond the New York scene, gaining notoriety worldwide. She will truly be missed.

We on Sit and Spin and on the team of Fefu and Her Friends feel so privileged to be able to present one of Fornés' most famous works and explore how it still applies today. We encourage you to attend our show to see her words in action, and celebrate lesser-known thinkers, writers, and artists like Fornés who advance our culture.

You can read more about Fornés here. and donate to Alzheimer's research here.

WOW!

October 22, 2018

We have officially reached over HALF of our fundraising goal and we could not have done it without your continued support and enthusiasm. Your efforts mean that we will now be able to fully fund our entire set!

We still have a lot to raise, and know that with your help we can make it all the way to our goal! Please tell your friends and family about supporting this unique production and share the Catalyzer page with them because every gift helps!

We are making more progress in rehearsals, delving deep into character work, and figuring out the logistics of making an immersive experience run smoothly. This week, we will have our first (of four) set building weekends and a marketing photoshoot.

You can find more content and stay up to date by following us on Facebook or Instagram.

WE’RE ON OUR WAY!

October 16, 2018

We are excited to announce that we have already reached 25% of our goal! We could not be more thankful to all the people who have already given. With your support, we will now be able to afford our entire lighting equipment budget!

We still have more funds to raise to make this show a success, though, so please help us spread the word about our project on social media. It’s a great and easy way to expand your impact. Let's keep this momentum going!

We have now officially started rehearsals and are working on constructing and tightening the immersive experience. Our set design team has started gearing up to build the massive multi-location set, organizing materials and tools and formulating plans to build the set as efficiently as possible. In addition, our costume designer has begun to finalize her drawings, and our marketing campaign is well under way.

Fefu and Her Friends is Live!

October 16, 2018

We are officially live! Thank you to everyone who has already given. We are well on our way to opening night with our set, lighting, and costume designs finalized. Rehearsals for the show just started yesterday, and below you can see a picture of our lovely cast, Director, and Stage Management team. Morgan Rielly ’19, our director, has been working all Summer to delve into the world of the play and dissect every aspect of the relationships between the characters.

Please let your friends, family, and colleagues know about this exciting project! We can’t wait to see you at the end of November when we bring the world of Fefu and Her Friends to Northwestern!
